Vijay Mukhi
Vijay Mukhi is one of the pioneers of the Indian IT Industry. For years, he has been the one of first to teach emerging technologies in India thus ensuring the country always has people trained in technologies that the world requires. He has authored more than 80 technical and non-technical books, and is currently authoring two titles dealing with web application security, which will be published in the spring of 2008 in both English and Japanese.
Over last couple of decades, Vijay has been also been active in promoting the advancement of the Indian IT industry via leadership positions that he holds in a number of organizations. Currently, he serves as:
- President , Foundation of Information Security and Technology (FIST)
- Member, High Court/State Government Committee on Pornography and Cyber Laws
- Chair, IT Committee, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry
- Chairman, Indian Merchant Chambers (IMC) IT Committee (2006-2008)
- Co-chair, Cyber Safety Week, a joint venture between the Mumbai police and NASSCOM
