Chirag also serves as the Executive Director of the Internet Users’ Community of India (IUCI), the body credited with having done most of the initial work in the roll-out of the Internet in India.
Chirag’s areas of exposure and expertise include Artificial Intelligence, Biometrics, Convergence, Database design, Data Security, Document Security, e-Business, e-Learning, Enterprise Systems, Lawful Interception of Communications, Network Security, Strategic Outsourcing, Video Surveillance and so on.
His work in the areas of education, media, telecom and security consulting puts him in close working contact with law enforcement agencies, telecom regulatory agencies, telecom companies, core technology companies, media companies and universities across the world.
Within NMIMS, in addition to heading DAML, he also teaches MBA students and spearheads the adoption of new technologies in education.
Chirag has just completed his PhD thesis in the area of Mobile Television and also has formal qualifications in management (MBA, Marketing and Finance), Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) and aviation (he is a qualified pilot). He has also authored a number of technical books including books on Oracle, PeopleSoft, Unix and so on.
